Changes to French Call Traffic
At Megacall we would like to inform you about a new regulation established by the French Government to make calls to their country.
France could be restricting VoIP calls with a French caller ID when calling French destinations (mainly to mobile phones). These numbers must be identified and their usage permitted by the French authorities.
This legislation aims to protect the rights of consumers and to limit the inconvenience suffered by users who receive unsolicited calls or messages.
Therefore, all companies that make VoIP calls to France displaying a French number must fill out a document with the necessary data to identify who it belongs to. This form will be provided by your VoIP provider and sent later for registration.
Once the authentication of the number has been verified, the calls can be made without any problem. If the number is not authenticated we cannot guarantee these calls will connect.
What do you need?
In addition to your company details, you must attach the KBIS and SIREN documents in the form below. Here is what these documents are about:
KBIS
Name: Immatriculation au Registre du Commerce et des Sociétés
Description: The Kbis extract represents the true identity document. Update a company registered in the Registry of Commerce and Companies (RCS).
This document, which can be defined as updating the legal form of companies before the Registry of Commerce and Companies, includes all the information that the company must declare and reports, where appropriate, of the information entered by the secretary in charge to keep that record.
The fundamental purpose of the Registry of Commerce and Companies is to make the information contained therein public. Everyone has the right to request and obtain a company’s kbis report on the registry. The Kbis statement attests to the legal existence of the company and provides verified information that it is authentic.
This is the only official document that proves the identity and domicile of the person (physical or legal) registered, their businesses, their management, administration, management or control bodies, and the existence or not of collective proceedings brought against them.
SIREN
A SIREN number is your unique French business identification number. This 9 digit number will be requested by all French administration when dealing with you, e.g. URSSAF, RSI, Impot, etc.
It is proof that you are a fully registered French business, listed on the national business directory – répertoire national des entreprises.
Your SIREN number will be issued by INSEE (national institute of statistics), when you register your business.
